Customer Emails/Letters

Below are some letters (transcribed) from a Bulgarian customer. She is a 1st violinist in the Orquesta Sinfonica de Madrid-Spain.

December 14, 2007

Dear Dr. Zaret,

I just received the old german and the bulgarian violins, but the french didn't come yet. The change is amazing! The old german with its small and narrow and extremely boring sound has been transformed completely. Now it has power, brilliancy and deepness — you have made a jewel from it!!! And the bulgarian finally sounds even in all the registers (it was impossible to balance the high-middle-low) adding to it the great reach and colorfull sound you made it to produce. To say Thank you is not enough!

Now I have no patience to wait to have the french violin back. You can't imagine to how many luthiers I have brought this instrument — I reached even someone very important in Zurich, but neither he coudn't manage to control the wolf notes on it!

I hope the violin arrives this week and I'll write you as soon as I get it.

Many thanks and regards from Madrid,
Vera Paskaleva

p.s. Just to add that I expected a great change, but I didn't suppose that the violins I sent you could reach the sound of Stelluto. The old german violin is now even more powerful on g string and yet possesing the great elegance and charm of the sound which are so characteristic of the Stelluto's sound. But the bulgarian violin is amazing — there is over all its registers such an engaging rich sound with so much power and brilliance! You have done an incredible work.

June, 2006

Dear Mr. Zaret,

I wanted only to tell you, that I am very, very happy playing on your violin. A month ago I had to do one record of a contemporary music for solo violin and on the 18th of June I played The Conradin Kreutzer Septet op.62 in the Teatro Real — and the feeling with the instrument was just great! Your violin has such a warm and ellegant sound, responds easily and is deep and powerful as well.

What I am convinced is that your Bassbar is the same step ahead, as the one Tartini and then Tourte made with the bow curve.

Thank you !!!

Very best regards.
Vera Paskaleva
